The Parish Council meet on the last Monday of every month, 7.30 in the village hall, with the exception of August and December. Visitors are always welcome.
Haresfield is a small village within the boundary of Stroud District Council in South Gloucestershire around one mile from Junction 12 of the M5 motorway and sits between the villages of Brookthorpe, Harescombe, Standish and Hardwicke. The population of the village taken at the 2011 census was 378.
Haresfield today boasts a pub, The Beacon & Railway Inn and a thriving junior school. With working farms, a stonemason and a railway track at its centre it is a busy place. The church, which is dedicated to St Peter, is apart from the village itself and accessed by a public right of way on a private drive.
