The Merryfields is in the centre of the village, used by Haresfield school as a playground and sports field and by the Haresfield Gladiators Cricket club as well as being a popular spot for neighbours to meet. It is a public space which is kept by a board of three Trustees – one representing each of the school, church and parish council.
